Add these snorkelling destinations to your bucket list

July 13, 2018 Family

Are you exhausted of seeing ancient sites and museums, then you should give a chance to underwater exploring. The majority of people try scuba diving, when they want to get in contact with the underwater world, but you can start with snorkelling, because it is the type of activity even children can try. Snorkelling offers you the opportunity to explore the underwater ecosystem, but also to get close to underwater wildlife. If you want to try snorkelling then you should add the following destinations to your bucket list. There are two options, you either plan your entire trip around snorkelling or you plan a trip to a destination that also offers you the possibility to try this activity.

Add these snorkelling destinations to your bucket list

Turks and Caicos Islands

This is a paradise when it comes to underwater wildlife. People come here not only to try snorkeling in the Turks & Caicos Islands but also to deep fish. There are organised trips that extend over a day long if you are interested in deep water fishing. When it comes to snorkelling this destination will offer you some of the most amazing sightings. There are plenty to see here from ocean vegetation to fauna.

Ambergris Caye, Belize

This is your opportunity to visit Australia. Here are organised some of the most amazing snorkeling trips & excursions because here is the largest barrier reef outside Australia. You will be able to get close to multiple types of coloured fish and to admire the coral. If you want to see the nurse sharks and the shark-ray alley, then you should go to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve.

Ilha Grande, Brazil

Ilha Grande is located between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo and it looks like a wilderness wonderland. You can easily find a hotel where to stay when on the island, but you will be surprised to see that people managed to construct and develop tourism without harming the environment. Here you can snorkel and team up with coloured fish. If you want to swim with sea horses then you should dive into the Blue Lagoon, because the underwater world looks like a sunken jungle.

The Big Island, Hawaii

Hawaii is a snorkelling destination itself, but if you want to be amazed when you dive under the water, then you should choose as destination the Big Island. The Big Island is known for the Kealakekua Bay where there are colourful fish and technicolor coral. This island also offers you the possibility to have a glimpse of the history of the area because here is the spot where Captain James Cook landed.

Palawan, the Philippines

The Philippines are great as a snorkelling destination, because there are over 7000 islands, and you can imagine how diverse the eco-system is there. You have the opportunity to swim with whale sharks and to explore the coral reefs outside Noa Noa Island. There are plenty of things to see and do when in the Philippines, but do not forget to see the Tubbataha reef.
