Some clichés about bathroom renovations

November 30, 2016 Family

Three years – this is the average time Australian people spend in their bathroom. Therefore, there is no doubt that the way this room should be decorated in a friendly way, as to make them feel comfortable. Also, renovating it from time to time should be a high priority. But there are, however, some clichés about renovating this room. And if you ask a bathroom renovator, here there is a list with things that you should definitely avoid and it is made for those who want to think outside the box.

Some clichés about bathroom renovations

Choosing the blue colours for painting the wall or for the tiles!

The way you paint the walls is more important that you may think, due to the fact that it can highly influence your mood. Because of the fact that people spend a lot of time in the bathroom, they should find the colours nice and relaxing. It is true that blue is a suitable colour for bathroom, but maybe, when you get bored of it and you want to change something, you should think of something more daring such as green or brown. Of course, you may say that brown is a better choice for your kitchen, but this is another popular cliché.

You should change your water heater only when it breaks!

Routine checks should be a common behaviour when it comes to Australian bathroom! And this thing should be done in order to avoid some situations such as running out of hot water, early in the morning, when you take your shower before going to work. And, according to experts, usually you should replace such device at least once in seven years.

Not asking for professional help!

Here is another common cliché when it comes to renovating a bathroom. “I am a skilful man! I can fix it myself!” – This is what you probably tell yourself, but trust us when we say that sometimes is better to ask for professional help. Ok, maybe you know something about fittings and fixtures, but maybe your bathroom needs a complete makeover and you are not able to do it on your own. So, save time, money and energy and ask for a professional’s services.

You do not need decorations for your bathroom!

This is not true. In order to make everything look good, you need some small details which can make the difference. This is the reason why you should think about bathroom decorations, starting with a fancy cabinet for all of your beauty products and ending with flowers. Despite of looking good, flowers have the role to keep the air fresh. But avoid lilies because they can consume your oxygen.

You do not need a powder room! It can occupy large space!

When you have a large house, you should not worry about space. And investing in a powder room it the best thing you can do, especially if you are the host of many guests. Just think about the Christmas period when all your friends and relatives come visiting you. Using the main bathroom is not a good choice. Not to mention the fact that it is not hygienic.
